What a Great Home!

My favorite toy is a sock with a tennis ball inside. I like to run up and down the stairs and all around the house with it. I will be glad when my Aunties get home for Christmas so they can play with me!!!!

Daddy said I needed a hair cut so I went to my hairdresser today. You may not see the difference but my tail is shaved, my ears have been cut, and my gotee is gone. So is most of my hair. I sure to smell gooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!

She really likes to watch everything going on outside from the treadmill!

I got a little tuckered out after all the activity yesterday!!!

After a good night's rest I was really ready to go. Aunt Elizabeth & Mom took me on some loooooooooooooooooooooooooong walks today but they could wear me out!!!

We think Dad is taking a liken to Toto!!

Sorry Gwynne, you're not our baby anymore!!!! We want everyone to meet the new adopted member of our family ------ TOTO

Temperatures Soaring

What a HOT day!!!!!! The temp on the bank is 106. (I'm sure it is not really that hot!!) My goodness what will August be like.

The wx this year has been crazy. Eighty degree wx in February & March. Rain & floods in May. Searing sun in July.

We really need R-A-I-N!!! Everyone do a RAINDANCE..... & drink lots of W-A-T-E-R

Wow !! Blogging two days in a row!! I'm really getting carried away. Today certain seemed like Spring had arrived. Thought you might like to see the first flowers in the yard. These are Aunt Rach's purple Hyacinths; they always come up early!!! Also the squirrels are very frisky this time of the year!!!

Uncle Clif'f''s cousin dropped by yesterday to leave me with two boxes filled with family pictures. Many of the pictures I have never seen and I don't recognize the people in them. This picture of my prize possession when I was a little girl was a real joy to see. I never had a picture of my scooter before!! You guys will really enjoy seeing some of these pictures when you come home.

Finally a beautiful day to fly. Seems like months since I was able to do that!! I flew down to Ottawa. Thought you might enjoy a picture of Baldwin City from the air. The other pic is of I-35 near Ottawa. It was an absolutely georgeous; although a little bumpy in the lower altitudes. A lot of people were taking advantage of the wx and burning off their fields or ditches. Quite a site from the air.

I didn't think I would ever make it but it's official ----------------- I am a REAL pilot!

God was looking out for me. When I took my checkride yesterday the wx was perfect! NO Wind just blue sky and lots of sunshine -- temp in the 50's. This can't be January.

Goodness, it has been almost a month since I posted!!!! I had to send you all some pictures I took near Clinton lake. I flew to Topeka today to complete all my requirements for the check ride. I just need to schedule the date.

It was absolutely beautiful today. Winds were calm and the temp reached 58. How lucky we have been so far this winter. I hope this luck continues as it will certain help with our gas bills!!





This is why I like flying. It is so peaceful and beautiful -- Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall! Every season has its beauty!!!

Well it is finally time we got into the Christmas spirit!!! Putting up that beautiful tree always starts us out on the right foot!!!!

She really likes that tree!!!!

Now that was really worth all the work!!!!

WOW ANOTHER SIX INCHES!!!!!!

Here we go again -- our second big snow storm and it isn't even Winter yet!! Do you ever remember us having this much snow before Christmas?

Never worry --- it will be gone by the time you New Yorkers get home. It is suppose to be 60 by Friday!!!!

However the pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor Nebraskan will have to drive home in this "stuff" tomorrow!!

It's nice to know I'm not the only mother like this!!!!

Hey New Yoooooooooooooooooookers!!! Look what's headed your way. We were lucky we only got about 6". Parts of KC got 11". It wasn't too bad -- it was a very powdery snow so it has been easy to get around in it. However, it is slippery -- lots of accidents!

We can't complain too much because the Hastings budding actress got hit a lot worse!!

This snow is also being followed by very low temperatures. It will be well below zero by morning!!! Get prepared ----- Winter has arrived!!!!!!!

This was the beginning of the storm. It was a little windy!

We really enjoyed having the whole gang home for Thanksgiving. The hard part is seeing them all leave.

There was a little delay in the New Yorkers getting away and a Nebraska blizzard slowed down (but didn't stop) the "one eyed" budding actress. (Let's hope the wx at Christmas is better!) GWin don't forget your glasses!!!

The fall leaves are just stunning this year!!!! The pictures don't begin to show how beautiful the trees are this season. In addition, the leaves are quite late in turning this year. Normally the tree are in full color by the first of October. Our wx has been un usually warm for most of the Fall.

We will just enjoy the the view!!!!
